My first Thought

I´ve been writing, not blogging. I´ve built a relationship with my notebook, one that I didn´t have back in high school. Back then I knew I liked putting my thoughts down on the paper, but I didn´t see the need. I had better things to do.

I would watch music videos instead. Some other times I would just...I forgot now. If only we, as students, were taught to keep our thoughts written. Our lives would be more coherent. Memory limits the way we make choices.

Anyway, what I mean is that I´ve found writing to be very meaningful to me. It´s helped me questioned my actions and others´. It´s made me a better thinker. Actually, that´s what I want to do as I write; I want to reason. However, I also want to narrate and make comparisons. It is these three thinking strategies that I want to start using when expressing myself. There are more, obviously. I explored them while teaching in the states: using figurative language, relating details to a main idea, identifying theme and others.

I´ve gotta review those.

By now, let me start.
